"I have the audacity to believe that people everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies, education for their minds, and dignity, equality, and freedom for their spirits."

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. - REKNOWN CIVIL RIGHTS LEADER

MLK's Dream Remains Out of Reach for Millions

Now, nearly 50 years after the untimely death of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a national momument has been built in his honor but social and economic inequality still plagues our society and his dream still remains out of reach for millions of families who live in poverty. We believe that in America, one of the wealthiest democracies on earth, it is simply unacceptable that millions of children go to bed hungry everynight!

Time to 'FREE The Dream' at Last

Under the guidance of Dr. Virgil A. Wood, who was a close friend and associate of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his father, and with assistance from writer/educator Fred Stawitz and many others, we vigorously pursue fulfillment of the dream Dr. King envisioned and struggled to achieve. His dream, the true American Dream, embodies the universal desire of people everywhere to live free in social and economic equality.

"All people have the right to life, liberty, and the economic means to pursue happiness in an environment which contributes to eliminating the root causes of poverty, hunger, and violence."

The True American Dream

We believe in the right to life, liberty, and the economic means to pursue happiness that our Founding Fathers consecrated in the U.S. Constitution. We believe in the dream for which Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. lived and died, the dream that inspired César Chávez to organize the farmworkers, and the dream of native Americans to live in peaceful harmony with the land. We believe that the true American Dream provides social and economic equality for all.

The Universal Dream for Mankind

It is human nature, and consistent with spiritual teachings, for people to want to live free and to provide a better life for their children. This is a Universal Dream held by people of all walks of life in America and around the world. We believe that we, the people, have the power to make this dream an enduring reality.

Wish you had marched with Dr. King or stood in solidarity with César Chávez?
This is our time to walk in their heroic footsteps
and to fulfill an historic promise!

Powerful Forces Stand to Divide Us

Powerful forces stand between the American people and fulfillment of our Dream. They know their strength resides tenuously in their ability to distract and divide us. So, they readily point to people who seem different and tell us to believe they are the cause of our problems when, in reality, we all suffer under the same antiquated systems of social and economic repression.

United We Will Prevail

When we stand united in our desire for a future of shared prosperity, we rob these misguided forces of their strength. When we forge bonds of solidarity from the chains that have kept us from our destiny, set aside distractions, and decide to join hands in a common struggle for the preservation of our union, there is no force on earth that can stop our just and righteous cause.

"We the people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution but to overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution."

President Abraham Lincoln - 16TH PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

True Patriots Serve the Union

True patriots serve the preservation of our democratic union and they by far outnumber those few who would place profit and personal gain over the common good. Just as these United States are stronger and more secure in union with each other, each of us benefits from the growth and success of our neighbors.

Bridges Can Cross All Boundaries

We believe in building bridges across racial, cultural, and geographical boundaries and collaborating with each other to enhance our strengths. We believe in minimizing the impact of devisive rhetoric and providing a platform for sharing the successes of those who unite us. We believe that by working together, no problem is too big for us to solve.

Stand up and stand together!

"We cannot seek achievement for ourselves and forget about progress and prosperity for our community."

E Pluribus Unum - Out of Many, One

The motto 'E Pluribus Unum' on the Great Seal of the United States of America reflects the idea that no single individual or organization can achieve the goal we pursue alone. We can make our Dream a reality only when we let go of petty rivalries and leave behind the bigotry of hate.

No One Left Behind

We believe success is measured in the goodness of hearts and the deeds we do for others. Pockets of prosperity are not worth leaving any member of our society to suffer in poverty, hunger or isolation. As we help others--we help ourselves. And in doing so, we attract the respect and admiration of people throughout the world.
